The net investments in Romania's economy amounted to 20.356 billion lei in the first quarter of this year, up 9.9% from the same period in 2020, according to provisional data released on Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

The US Air Force has announced a massive investment in "General Emanoil Ionescu" Air Base 71 from Câmpia Turzii, which the Americans consider an essential strategic point in the region.

The German Group Kärcher, world leader in cleaning technology, will inaugurate in October a new production unit in Curtea de Argeş, an investment of 20 million euros, where it will produce vacuum cleaners, and wants to double its business in Romania by 2025, to 23 million euros in 2020.
